Author talk | Sharyn Munro

lady author on right with flowers, coffee, book and pen

Hear Sharyn Munro, an award-winning short story writer, as she discusses Peeping through my fingers, her collection of short stories, some funny, some poignant, but always perceptive. This fictional collection is interwoven with brief personal reflections on her own life and the stages each person goes through if one is lucky enough to reach them.

Bookings essential. Copies of Munro's book will be available to purchase on the day. Part of our Macleay Seniors Festival program.

Sharyn Munro currently resides on the Mid North Coast, having lived for decades in a solar-powered mudbrick cabin on her remote mountain wildlife refuge in the NSW Upper Hunter Valley, the heart of her first two books, The Woman on the Mountain and Mountain Tails.

Mother of two, grandmother of five, concern for their future drives Sharyn to use her way with words for both storytelling and activism. Our world needs both – to understand life and to save it.
