Get Ready Get Techy | Kempsey

We all know our mobile phones are important information and connection tools in an extreme weather event. Whether it is fire, flood, or road closures -the time to Get Techy Get Ready is now!

Bruce Naylor of OzGREEN, who will lead the workshops says, “At a Get Techy Get Ready workshop, we like to keep it simple, so everyone can follow along. Participants will explore the main apps like BOM and Fires Near Me, and Live Traffic and learn how to set up a watch zone. We will also look at apps like WhatsApp that can help keep family or neighbourhood groups in touch, or a simple one that everyone should know about, Emergency Plus, which can send your location to police, 000 or the SES should you get into difficulty.”

In partnership with Kempsey council and Libraries, OzGREEN will to run this FREE 2hr workshop.
