TEST After school STEAM program - Online Event
Suitable for children aged 7 - 12 years.
Do you want to make your very own computerised robot?
Over four weeks in this after school program, children will learn basic computer programming. Children will be given a BBC micro:bit. This pocket-sized computer shows children how software and hardware work together. It has an LED light display, buttons, sensors and many input/output features that can be programmed to interact with children.

We'll guide your child through the basics of writing program code to change the LEDs and interact with the buttons. Once the kids have the basics, they'll design a monster using a milk or egg carton and craft supplies plus the minicomputer to control the monster’s mouth.
Join our after school program in term 4 to make your very own milky monster.
These workshops will run online weekly for 4 weeks from Monday 8 November to Monday 29 November.
Enrolled participants must pick up a kit from the Mornington Library.
