Starting this week the Macleay Valley Seniors Festival events will be running all the way through Seniors Week until Saturday 23 March 2024.

There are lots of ways to get involved, with majority of the events free for seniors to attend.

Kempsey Library will play host to free events including:

A hands-on jewellery weaving workshop - with talented local artist Gai Southwell from Manhuti Walkabout Jewellery to learn the meditative practice of weaving.

A tasty seniors cooking segment - hosted by Tracey from Hungry Puku Catering showcasing an entrée, main and dessert which is sure to be popular!

Book bingo session - Run in collaboration with Crescent Head Country Club, we will have Gloria and Mary keeping you all entertained with a game of Bingo using books.

While you’re at the library, grab yourself a free large print book during the Large Print Book Giveaway on Monday 18 March.

Be sure to visit the Council’s website for a full list of what's on and all the details. Some events do require registration prior to attending for catering purposes.
