Seniors celebrated across Kempsey Shire

Seniors week was celebrated across Kempsey Shire with an incredible line up of events held across the two-week Macleay Valley Seniors Festival celebrations from 11 – 23 March.
From morning tea’s to cooking demonstrations, book bingo to jewellery weaving workshops, our Shire’s commitment to celebrating our region’s seniors was amazing.
These community led events gave everyone the chance to come together, connect with friends and recognise what a valuable contribution seniors make to the fabric of our community.
We were grateful to the talented Tracey from Hungry Puku catering who cooked up an entrée of cauliflower fritters, a main meal of coconut Thai style fish and rice, as well as a strawberry pudding dessert as a free lunch for Seniors at the library on Thursday 21 March. Check out the pics below.
Thank you to everyone who joined in at one of the events during the 2024 Seniors Festival celebrations. We look forward to supporting these events again next year as part of NSW Seniors Week.
